Profesyonel anlamda dünya genelinde ilk çıkarılan albüm “Passion of Oud” , İkinci çıkarılan dünya genelinde “Üstatlar” adlı müzikal albümlerdir.

Oud artist, Arranger and Academician

Associate Professor Hakan Emre Ziyagil's musical journey starts when he touches the keys of his father's piano at the age of eight - nine and gets his first education from his father, who was a piano instructor… He got the chance to meet many instruments in his family environment where he grew up with music. Fretless instruments are the most interesting.

At the age of 16, he meets the fretless guitar, his second instrument. But his interest in Turkish music leads him to his timbre, the oud, a Turkish music instrument he always likes ... Hakan Emre, who decides to devote his life to music, starts his academic education at the conservatory with the oud instrument.

With the education he started at Selcuk University State Conservatory in 1999, he gains new perspectives on music and develops a different vision. Its aim is to discover the boundaries of this instrument, which it has given its heart to, and introduce it to the whole world, through its modern technical performance, which it has added to classical Turkish performance as a plus in the oud. Also in this period, fretless electric guitar (ebow) and fretless bass guitar become part of his life. On the one hand, he starts his studio work. It aims to obtain a different sound by using mechanical digital devices together with the oud. In his works in the studio environment, he made arrangements by using external equipment in the works and thus gained a broader musical vision. For example, he arranged a 19-channel cover that he obtained by combining his performances in different tones on the oud instrument.

The richness of its vision is also based on the cultural diversity it has in the family environment. He was born to a Portuguese mother and a Turkish father. And thanks to this diversity, it has been influenced by both cultures. He even gained different experiences by studying Flamenco, Western Music and harmony in Lisbon for a while.

After studying the Targan method in his conservatory years, he also studied the methods of different western instruments. He is currently working on an image-weighted oud method that includes all these accumulations and plectrum techniques. And it plans to release when complete.

He continues to work with the philosophy of "Music is the way in which frequencies in the abstract return to emotion and expression, harmony, notes, discourses and performances are tools" and adhering to this philosophy, he reflects all the experiences he has in life into his art and performance. He aims to convey the embodiment of this expression to art lovers with his album consisting of different performances and techniques, which he is currently working on and is planning to reveal within a year.

“Passion of Oud”, the first album to be released professionally worldwide, and “Masters”, are the second musical albums released worldwide.

He completed his master's (master's degree) at Ankara University Social Sciences University (Turkish Music) and published the book "UD METHOD (With Video)" written by himself. Later, he completed his doctorate program in the Department of Music Education of Gazi University with the first place and carried out a special study in his field.
